You can look a little more hip and urban by adding street style to your wardrobe. Street style can be anything as long as it makes your outfit pop out of the crowd and gives off an air of confidence and of being on the cutting edge. Wear clothing and accessories that feel good to you and make a statement.
One way to add street style to your wardrobe is to wear leather in unexpected places. Most people expect a leather jacket or boots. Look more street and unique by pulling on a pair of leather pants or a leather mini-skirt. Choose leather in a bright color, such as red, if you want to stand out even more.
Street style is all about the shoes you wear. The original choice of urban fashionistas was a pair of bright, trendy sneakers. If you aren't comfortable wearing a pair of vibrant orange or pink pleather or canvas sneakers, choose footwear that has plenty of youth, such as scrunched up ankle boots with a spiked heel, over-the-knee boots, or two-tone wingtip oxfords.
Choose one signature accessory to add street style to your wardrobe. A large pair of sunglasses may work, as may a fedora or trucker hat. If you are the type to wear jewelry, choose a signature necklace. It doesn't have to be a large gold chain or something with an oversized charm, but it should be something that makes people look at you twice. Other accessory options include a flashy belt, trendy designer handbag, or a scarf.
Don't be afraid of color. Street style is about youthfulness, and one way to look youthful is to add a splash of color to your wardrobe. If you tend to stick to neutrals or black, choose a single color, such as purple or orange, and incorporate that it into your outfits. For instance, you can pair a purple skirt with a muted, neutral shirt to add an urban flair to your look without going overboard. Plaid is another popular choice for street style. Wear a plaid button shirt under a blazer or with a pair of skinny jeans for an urban chic look.
Go for layers. They'll keep you warm on cold city nights and will look great too. Pair a mini skirtwith leggings or opaque tights and a pair of tall boots. If you really want to up the street look, try wearing a short skirt or short shorts with a pair of knee or thigh high socks and a funky pair of sneakers.

Instead of having been styled by models on Parisian runways and designers standing in front of boards of directors, street fashion is said to have emerged from the streets. It has what is said to be grassroots in the youth culture of the most recent decade. It is not specific to one type of dressing, but instead covers a host of different styles, all unique in the fact that they were created and styled by the young people who favour them.
It is this style that has begun to influence the creators of high fashion. The tight-fitted jeans once favored only by those wearing the street fashion known as punk now are a common element in high fashion designer wear. Similarly, the hippie, loose-flowing dresses with filmy material are being redirected in the fashion set in a more demure, focused innocence.
Hip hop fashion, with its origins in street fashion, has now translated itself into a multi-billion dollar industry. While now considered an iconic style, it still continues to be a statement of the music culture from which it originated. Hip hop street clothing emerged from the African American urban movement and filtered into the music industry and was worn by many well-known recognized athletes.
Big-name designers have incorporated this fashion into their design lines. Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, and Calvin Klein, among a host others, feature distinctly street fashion trends in their designs. These designers, along with others, have brought the style to another level by allowing it to influence dress and formal wear.
Japanese street fashion is largely influenced by the stretwear found in the United States. Though most of their clothing labels are produced within Japan, they are strongly influenced by trends seen abroad. Japanese fashion is dictated by the underground club scene attended by many young people. Japan's street fashions have to credit many looks to the hip hop culture.
Street fashion, though largely influenced by the trends seen worn by the youth of United States, can be noted throughout the world, as each and every culture has a youth that is desirous of making a statement. This statement is made many times by the clothes chosen to be worn by any given generation. Every decade, which produces a new crop of youth, has a markedly notable street fashion uniquely generated by it.
How many times have we heard women say these immortal words, "I have nothing to wear". Perhaps the best answer comes from this quote by Caitlin Moran -
“When a woman says, ‘I have nothing to wear!’, what she really means is, ‘There’s nothing here for who I’m supposed to be today.”
We thought about this carefully and put together this very simple combination as seen below. It is hoped that it might help our fans/followers to make up their minds and be the women they want to be on that day. Enjoy the combo.

Forgive us if we get a bit hemispherical, but spring is gradually going into summer if you live north of the hemisphere while summer is turning into winter down south. The combination we are about to look is for those north. That is not to say that those south can't wear this combo even in winter! We still have warm days during winter here.
Anyway, back to the combination. So you look outside and see it's a nice day and begin to wonder what to put on. You suddenly remember that there are some recent purchases appropriate for your day. A quick look at what you've got tells you there is something good here, no, something great! After all, you're just looking for something to wear out for the day.

We start off with Tiana (Hakeem's girlfriend and one half of Takeem) in this little black number. It immediately reminded of us that we stock something similar. This has brought about our matching as best we can what we have with what she is wearing. And yes, please do blame it on Tiana. Enjoy the combo!

A wrist bag is different from a regular purse because of its size and design. Typical purses are larger and have a longer strap that usually fits over the shoulder. Alternatively, a wrist bag is a small purse with a tiny strap that fits around the wrist of the wearer.
The wrist bag is often used in situations where using a typical purse would be cumbersome or would not look particularly attractive with the outfit the wearer has on. For example, one may use a wrist bag when attending a concert, going out dancing or while wearing an evening dress. It takes up little room, especially when the wearer needs to walk through a crowd.
A wrist bag is also known as a clutch because, while it is being worn, the wearer will usually hold it in the hand. It prevents the bag from swinging around and hitting the wearer or hitting anyone in close proximity. The thin design of the purse makes it easy to hold and keep controlled.
Considering its small size, it is not ideal for someone who frequently carries an exorbitant amount of items. Many are the perfect size to carry only a few items, such as money, some makeup, keys, a cell phone and not much else. A wrist bag, depending on its size, can also be used as a makeup bag in a larger purse.
Although a wrist bag is typically thought of as used by women, there are men’s wrist bags available. They usually come in darker colors, such as a rich brown or black, and are without any frills. Many of the wrist bags for men are made of leather and have a more masculine design then those for women.
Many types of wrist bags are colorful and have elaborate designs on them. Some people may shy away from using large purses with such designs on them, so a wrist purse allows the opportunity to carry something decorative without it feeling so overwhelming. In some cases, the intricately designed bag can be the only accessory needed for the outfit.
A wrist bag is a good alternative for someone who needs to carry around items but prefers not to carry a purse. It is also a good first purse for a young girl, considering its small and non-complex design. It makes a great fashion accessory to use for day or night no matter what your age.
